Shalom — in just a few days I board a plane to Israel to lead a Boots on the Ground Volunteer Mission, and I wanted to send you a quick update and a heartfelt thank you.
The boxes are stacking up. We have already received incredible support, and I am moved by the outpouring of love, but there is still so much more to do. As our volunteers pack the donated supplies, others are gathering in my home to make the kosher ducks we have been asked to hide for IDF soldiers to find. The need in Israel is vast, and we need your help to meet it.
100% of the funds raised go directly to people in need in Israel — no overhead, no fluff. Contrary to widely held belief, AIC does not receive major funding, and I have been a volunteer since we began in 2018. Every dollar will be hand-delivered as essentials, supplies, and support for IDF soldiers, hospitalized patients, families displaced by war, and children traumatized by war.
We will be volunteering the entire time — no sightseeing. This is a mission. If you can share it with your community or your synagogue, it would mean the world to me. We are stronger when we show up together. This is our moment to say it clearly: we see you, we are with you, we care.
— Cheryl Dorchinsky, Executive Director
Two ways to send your support to Israel before we fly this week:
Donate. 100% of what you give is hand-delivered in Israel — essentials, supplies, and direct support for IDF soldiers, hospitalized patients, and families displaced by war. No overhead.
Shop the Amazon Wish List. We have updated it with the most urgently needed items — socks, toiletries, toys, comfort items. Every donation goes straight from your hands into ours and directly to someone in Israel who needs it.
